AIRTUBE and AIRROUTE are two pneumatic transportation networks,
one (Airtube) dedicated to the transportation of goods and the other (Airroute) dedicated to the transportation
of persons.
The principle is a network of tubes in which is maintained a continuous air flow.
AIRTUBE & AIRROUTE
- Economic (Energy, Oil, Roads, Time, Energy Independence, ...)
- Efficient (Speeds & Volumes)
- No - polluting
- Silent
- Safe (accidents, security of transportation...)
- Fast (delivery 1 parcel = +/- 2 hours)
- Flexibility (no wait, no schedule)
- Industry & Commerce stimulating
- Modes of social transportation
- Solution to the sorting, reorientation and to the collection of wastes
- Solution to problems of MOBILITY
- etc. ..
TO THE NATIONAL LEVEL, "AIRTUBE & AIRROUTE"
INDUCE AN ENERGY IMPORT DIMINUTION SUCH ..that..
"AIRTUBE & AIRROUTE" WRITE OFF IN SOME YEARS !!!"
"in billion BEF"/year (1us$=40 BEF) | Belgium | France | Europe |
estimated price of the road insecurity | 120 | 720 (1998) | 6400 (1995) |

- The "road" kills 1000 persons
per year, it hurts some more 60.000
(in Belgium)
- The atmospheric pollution is the many cause sicknesses respiratory of our children
- The emission of CO² provokes the warming of the planet and modifies our climate
- The price of the barrel (oil) is double or triple.
"AIRTUBE" allows the transportation in continuous of
volumes of maximum +/- 60 dm3 (40 cm X 40 cm X 40 cm), +/- 50 to 100 Kgs, to a speed of 100 to 300 Km/h.
The "industrial" target is to bring spheres up to in the factory, according to the schedule and the quantity asked via Internet.
Parcels would be loaded in spheres, codes of destination and others transmitted to spheres, spheres "injected"
on the network. These information would be transmitted to the "computer" who manages the network. Internet
would allow equally to "follow" the parcel on the network.
The "domestic" target is to give to each, the possibility to call a" Service of parcel removal
at home" or to bring personally the parcel to the station.
The call to the "home delivery service" would be made be by telephone or via Internet. Parcels arriving
to a station of destination would be brought "at home" by this same service or put in deposit, in wait
of the removal by the client.
To the final stage AIRTUBE is widened to each domicile. It suppresses all moving such as "shopping", purchases , dispatches , etc...
It is necessary to imagine a very dense network of tubes, a diameter of +/- 60 cm, that follows the railway network,
fixed to height of the electrification. In these tubes, circulates double spheres powered pneumatically.
In a first stage, starting points and arrivals would be stations of the railway network. Could be added rapidly, the other zones with high activity concentration, industrial, commercial or other, and finally all streets and each domicile.
"The AIRTUBE network turning to the third of its capacity assumes the totality of the transportation "road and railway" of goods !!!."
SNCB (Belgian railway) network = 700 stations & 3000

"Via AIRTUBE, the transportation of a truck 10 Tons
on 100 km costs 120 BEF !!!!"
"Via AIRTUBE,
to send a parcel
costs
1 BEF (0.02 us$) !!!!"
(1 us$=40 BEF)
Energy: 1 kwh/Ton/100 km to 100 km/h
Price: AIRTUBE(SNCB Network) = 25 billions BEF
AIRROUTE
The network "AIRROUTE" allows the transportation in continuous of persons
via "modules" being able to transport 2 persons and baggage, to a speed of 100 to 300 Km/h.
To term, the network AIRROUTE will cover all railway networks and the other ways of communication, International and National.
It is a network of tubes, a diameter of +/- 160 cm. In these tubes, circulates the "modules" powered pneumatically.
The traveler climbs in the first module that presents or that is present, (modules turn in continuous on the network so as to avoid all wait time) the traveler codes its destination, (the payment been made via a magnetic card) after bolting and other verifications he is 'injected' on the network that leads him to destination.
"The AIRROUTE network could assume the totality of the transportation
of persons by road and by rail !!!."
"The AIRROUTE network to 10% of its capacity assumes the totality of
the transportation of persons by rail !!!."
"Via AIRROUTE,
the transportation of a person
costs
1 BEF/km (0.02 us$/km) ! "
(1 us$=40 BEF)
Energy: 0,5 kwh/module/100 km to 100 km/h
Price: AIRROUTE (SNCB network) = 101 billions BEF
